Placements24 is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer specializing in microservices for a fully remote role. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs in a distributed team, leveraging cloud-native technologies and modern databases.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of backend experience, strong knowledge of microservices, and proficiency in Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Proven design/implementation of microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or C#.
• Strong DB knowledge: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ is desirable.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of API design and security best practices.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Remote work ability and collaboration in distributed teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or C#.
• Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is highly desirable.
