Druid City Infusion in Metairie, LA is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse to provide infusion therapies in patients' homes or local clinics, with coordination to pharmacy and physicians. You will perform assessments, patient education, and collaborative care across teams.

Ideal candidates have an active RN license, BLS, and infusion therapy experience, with flexibility for PRN hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor's degree).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably infusion therapy.
• Availability to work flexible PRN hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Travel to provide home administration of IV medications and therapies, including subcutaneous injections, following aseptic protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab testing.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EHR systems.
• Educate patients and families on infusion therapies, side effects, and self-care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety.
• Provide support in emergency situations using sound clinical judgment.
