Job summary

Druid City Vital Care is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support infusion therapy across home and clinic settings in Metairie, LA. The role involves independent patient assessments, administration of IV therapies, education, and coordination with pharmacy and physicians to ensure safe, effective care.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license and BLS, with experience in infusion therapy or related areas. PRN hours include evenings and weekends to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in outpatient or home care infusion settings.
• Flexible PRN availability including evenings and weekends.
• Preference for infusion therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV medications and therapies following aseptic protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab testing.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EHR.
• Educate patients and families on infusion therapies, side effects, and self-care.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance patient safety.
• Provide support in emergency situations using sound clinical judgment.
