Job summary

Active Infusions is seeking a Part-Time Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to cover every other weekend plus a flexible mix of one weekday shift per week. The role requires independently managing IV infusions in an outpatient, private-pay setting with a strong emphasis on safety and patient comfort.

Shifts are daytime, with occasional later-start options; up to 3 shifts weekly, on-site at our Columbia/Laurel, MD locations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (Virginia or multistate/compact)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent IV infusion or ICU experience
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday shifts): 2 a month required
• 1 weekday shift per week (flexible or consistent)
• Availability for occasional later-start shifts (~2–3 per month)
• Strong IV insertion and medication administration skills; confident starting IVs independently
• Excellent time management and critical thinking abilities
• Confident working fully independently in a solo-nurse environment with no on-site backup
• Proficient in EMR systems with accurate documentation of infusions and adverse events
• Professionalism, attention to detail, calm presence with high-acuity patients

Responsibilities

• Independently manage infusion sessions and administer IV, IM, and SubQ biologic therapies
• Ensure safe and effective patient care for adults in outpatient private-pay setting
• Maintain accurate documentation of infusions and adverse events in EMR
• Provide professional, calm, patient-centered care with strong clinical judgment
• Work in a solo-nurse environment with no on-site nursing backup
