Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for Outpatient Oncology Infusion on a part-time basis. The role requires an IL RN license and a BSN; CPR-BLS is required, with PALS/ACLS supported per departmental rules.

Responsibilities include nursing process, patient/family education, pain management, and safe hand-offs, with on-call duties as needed. A strong focus on patient safety and quality care per safety goals is emphasized.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN and IL license required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Current CPR-BLS certification.
• CPR-PALS and ACLS encouraged; waivers depend on cost center.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Nursing process: collect data, develop care plan, coordinate care and evaluate outcomes.
• Directs care and utilizes any assistant as needed.
• Involves patient and family in planning and discharge.
• Ensure patient safety and reduce medical errors per safety goals.
• Assess and manage pain; educate patient and family.
• Demonstrates effective hand-offs to the next provider; participate in on-call.
