Job summary

City of Hope in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Infusion Nurse to initiate, monitor, and complete IV therapies including chemotherapy and biologics. The role supports cancer and diabetes care across City of Hope’s expanded Phoenix network and requires strong infusion skills and patient safety focus.

Applicants need 1 year chemo infusion experience, an Associate Degree in Nursing, an AZ RN license (or compact state) and BLS. Onc nursing certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year chemo infusion experience required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing and AZ RN licensure.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Oncology certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV/IM therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hydration.
• Care for patients with IV lines, central lines, and ports.
• Administer and monitor blood products safely.
• Demonstrates competence in chemotherapy administration through ONS.
• Assess and intervene for normal/abnormal treatment responses.
• Monitor for life-threatening reactions and follow six rights for meds.
• Collect blood specimens and blood cultures.
