Job summary

City of Hope in Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse, Infusion to provide comprehensive infusion therapy across pediatric to adult patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and document care while guiding patient care partners to ensure safe and compassionate treatment.

The role requires IL RN licensure, BLS on hire, and oncology chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration knowledge; experience in infusion settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with hospital/clinical experience in infusion care.
• Oncology chemotherapy/immunotherapy knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document infusion care for patients across ages.

The successful candidate:

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents the care of medical and surgical patients requiring infusion therapy of all ages. Directly guides the care delivered by the patient care partners.
• Demonstrates knowledge and use of chemotherapeutic agents and medications
• Ability to assess and recognize normal/abnormal responses to treatments and institute appropriate interventions
• Demonstrates skills to assess and intervene in life‑threatening situations

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

• 1 year of hospital or clinical setting as an RN
• Graduate of NLNAC or CCNE school of Nursing
• State of Illinois Registered Nurse License.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained in position.
• Oncology Certification through ONCC when eligible or 6 oncology CE every year (18 oncology CE total every 3 years) for the Oncology Commission Cancer cycle.
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Course certified within 6-12 weeks of hire.
