Penn Medicine in Lancaster, PA is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse 2 to join the Infusion team. The role is full-time, evening shift, providing both medical and oncology infusion care, collaborating with an interprofessional team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN license in good standing, a BSN or higher, complete Nurse Residency or have 15+ months of practice, and CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by PA Board of Nursing is required.
• BSN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Completion of Nurse Residency or 15+ months of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid programs as applicable.
• Adherence to unit-based Plan for Provision of Care.

Responsibilities

• Incorporates the Lancaster General Health mission, vision and values into patient care.
• Functions as an independent and interdependent member of the health care team as defined in unit based Plan for Provision of Care.
• Performs patient assessments, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive functions.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes and adapts the plan of care based on recognized trends.
• Coordinates patient care across several disciplines and among caregivers.
• Educates patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
• Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices; utilizes technology where appropriate.
• Assigns, delegates, and supervises other employees and intervenes to assure plan of care is carried out.
