Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and ensure accountability for the care of assigned patients. The role involves coordinating patient care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited RN program and hold an active RN license in the hiring state or a valid compact license. BLS is required, with potential for additional certifications depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CTPN etc. may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
