Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and coordinating with other departments. This role emphasizes patient rights and confidentiality as part of Mercy Service Standards.

The position requires graduation from an accredited RN program and an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact licensure, with Basic Life Support and various unit-specific certifications potentially required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification (or complete within 30 days of hire).
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
