Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred; ADN considered with experience if approved by Chief Nursing Officer or designee.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse with current registration in New York State.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and professional practice in collaboration with the health care team and in accordance with institutional policies.
• Assesses patient needs and responses to care and applies sound nursing judgment in care management decisions.
• Provides direct, continuous care for a caseload of patients using the nursing process and institutional standards.
• Coordinates patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning, delegating to team members as appropriate.
• Communicates with patients and families about the plan of care.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Associate degree in nursing (ADN) with relevant experience considered

Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State
