CarolinaEast Health System in New Bern, NC is seeking a Staff Nurse to assist physicians in assessing patients and planning care for those undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The role requires two to three years of oncology clinical experience and a strong desire to teach patients, with responsibilities for direct patient care under the Nursing Division.

The Staff Nurse will implement the division's standards of care and office protocols, and will train new clinical staff.

Job Summary

Assist physician in assessing patients and establishing a plan of care for patient while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Two to three years clinical experience working with oncology patients and a strong desire to teach patients. A staff nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the Office Manager. The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care. This position also trains new clinical employees in office protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate from an NCBON approved School of Nursing and/or graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, Temporary License with the NC Board of Nursing or a Current License with a Nurse Licensure Compact State.
• Current AHA CPR certification.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
