Job summary

A healthcare organization in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to assist in assessing patients and developing care plans for those undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of clinical experience, particularly with oncology patients, and a passion for patient education. Additional responsibilities include providing direct patient care and training new clinical staff. The position requires a valid RN license in North Carolina and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a current RN license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing or from a Nurse Licensure Compact State.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care for patients.

Job Summary: Assist physician in assessing patients and establishing a plan of care for patient while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Two to three years clinical experience working with oncology patients and a strong desire to teach patients. A staff nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the Office Manager. The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care. This position also trains new clinical employees in office protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, Temporary License with the NC Board of Nursing or a Current License with a Nurse Licensure Compact State.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit(s).
