Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) for the Paducah Cancer Center. The role delivers exceptional nursing care by assessing patients, developing care plans, administering chemotherapy, and maintaining a safe environment.

The position requires an accredited nursing degree, RN licensure, and relevant certifications. On-site duties include care coordination, IV starts, transfusions, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS required; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.
• ONS Oncology Nursing Certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatments and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Restores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain stability across the lifespan.
• Administers chemotherapy and other medications, starts IVs, transfuses blood and blood products.
• Anticipates and responds to changing patient conditions; promotes educational growth among nursing peers.
