Infusion RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing)
• Specialty: Infusion Nurse / IV Therapy
• Location: Burlington, Vermont 05401
• Healthcare Setting: Vascular Access Team, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Start Date: August 21, 2025
• End Date: September 21, 2025
• Contract Duration: 4 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights), every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in infusion/IV therapy or emergency room nursing
• Recent experience in a large Level 1 Trauma Center (within the past year)
• Strong IV skills; AVA certification and PICC line skills preferred
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
• Ability to work flexible rotating shifts, including nights and every other weekend
• Must be available to work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation not accessible)
  
  

Infusion Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert vascular access care, including peripheral IV placement, troubleshooting, and removal
• Assess and care for PICC lines, perform dressing changes, and administer TPA as needed
• Access and flush ports, perform blood draws, and support the IV Therapy team
• Float to support critical vacancies within the unit as needed
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
• Maintain flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts as scheduled
