Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. seeks an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to assist with prescription processing, medication preparation, and patient support under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

You will help maintain inventory, ensure equipment is calibrated, and support site operations to uphold quality standards. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to OCH policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of any defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information required to plan materials/supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials.
• Stock and store new supplies and materials.
• Review expiration dates.
• Identify shortages.
• Pick and pack materials and supplies.
• Create tickets.
• Track inventory through data entry in applicable systems.
• Schedule routine patient deliveries.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
• Clean and organize supplies.
• Supervisory responsibilities: No.
