Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support smooth pharmacy operations under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. You will assist with prescription processing, supplies, and equipment, while prioritizing accurate patient information and service quality.

Responsibilities include inventory management, site maintenance, and ensuring a positive patient experience through responsive communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to OCH policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information for accurate planning of materials/supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies, stock and store materials, review expiration dates, identify shortages, pick and pack materials, create tickets, and track inventory in systems.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and organize supplies.
