Job summary

InfuCare Rx in Louisiana is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist with compounding and dispensing medications, working under supervision and coordinating with caregivers, physicians, and the healthcare team to ensure accurate, timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has a state-licensed Pharm Tech, 2+ years in a compounding setting, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel; experience with sterile compounding and a CPR+ Pharmacy Management System is a plus.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Current Pharmacy Technician license in state of employment.
Minimum 2 years' experience as Pharmacy technician in a compounding pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dose.
Maintain sterile product processing and infection control per policies.
Dispense products and record in pharmacy management software to generate delivery documents.
Ensure a licensed pharmacist checks all outgoing prescriptions prior to delivery and participates in patient outreach.
Assist with selection, packing and delivery of specialty infusion products and services on a patient-specific basis.
Contact patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders to determine health, supplies or delivery matters.
Verify the accuracy of product orders and manage equipment tracking.
