Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a compounding technician I to join our clinical operations in the clean room. Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, you will work at least 50% of the time to support safe, accurate compounding and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities include assisting with prescription compounding, preparing medications, performing basic calculations, labeling, and maintaining logs and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year pharmacy technician experience; licensed or registered if required by state.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers; ability to perform basic and intermediate math calculations; excellent organizational skills; basic MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with prescription compounding, preparation, and processing.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Label and package medications.
• Record and report medication-related incidents.
• Maintain cleanliness of pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect equipment and document failures.
• Record and maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
