Job summary

Option Care Health is hiring for a pharmacy tech-related role focused on prescription processing, patient support, and inventory management.

The role emphasizes accuracy in data entry, basic math, and customer service to ensure a positive patient experience. Training is provided; state-specific licensure may be required within six months. Physical demands include standing and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure/training is required).

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to policies.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications & supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of any defects.
• Collect & maintain basic patient information for planning materials, supplies, and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic patient questions and requests.
• Receive & verify quantities of incoming supplies & materials and stock/store new supplies.
• Review expiration dates and identify shortages; pick and pack materials & supplies; create tickets; track inventory in systems.
• Schedule routine patient deliveries.
• Clean & sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; clean and organize supplies.
