Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide direct care to cancer patients in an infusion setting at an award-winning Maine hospital partner. The role offers a 12-week assignment with days shifts, paid weekly, and supportive career specialists to help tailor your career path.

The successful candidate will administer chemotherapy and related therapies, assess patients, educate families, and ensure safety and HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification at hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
