Job summary

MP RPO Cancer Care & Infusion Center in New Hampshire seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality infusion care in a fast-paced oncology setting. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, manage vascular access, administer infusion therapies, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout treatments.

The role emphasizes bedside care, patient education, accurate documentation, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous clinical nursing experience with strong assessment, medication administration, and patient care skills.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and nursing standards of practice.
• Strong communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including patient assessment, care planning, treatment implementation, and ongoing evaluation.
• Administer infusion medications safely and effectively while maintaining knowledge of infusion therapies and medication protocols.
• Initiate and manage vascular access, including peripheral IVs, implanted ports, PICC lines, and central lines.
• Obtain laboratory specimens and perform related clinical procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Follow chemotherapy and hazardous drug handling procedures, infection prevention standards, and aseptic techniques.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, self-care, and available resources.
• Provide compassionate emotional support while protecting patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, professional development, and departmental service excellence activities.
• Support infusion center operations, patient access, and efforts to enhance patient satisfaction and service delivery.
