SunState Medical Specialists in Hollywood, FL, part of OneOncology, is hiring a Chemotherapy Nurse to deliver chemo/immunotherapy infusions and blood product transfusions in a community-based cancer program.

The role requires an ADN, BLS, chemotherapy certification (OCN if eligible), oncology experience or 1 year RN with direct patient care, EMR proficiency, and strong phlebotomy and sterile technique skills. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout treatment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing and active RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Chemotherapy certification.
• OCN if eligible.
• Oncology experience or 1 year RN direct patient care.
• Experience with chemotherapy admixture.
• Proficient with EMR.
• Phlebotomy and venipuncture skills.
• Sterile technique proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Answers routine questions from patients and families.
• Assesses patient via telephone and takes appropriate action.
• Assists physicians and care team to meet patient needs.
• Coordinates oncology and chemotherapy visits, including lab work and follow-up.
• Delivers chemo/immunotherapy and blood products.
• Handles drug admixture and proper disposal.
• Provides patient education about chemotherapy administration.
• Monitors patient responses and detects toxicities daily.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR.
• Creates a supportive environment for chemotherapy patients.
