City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center in Irvine, CA seeks an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse to deliver specialized care to patients undergoing chemotherapy. The role focuses on thorough assessments, individualized care planning, and compassionate support throughout the cancer treatment journey.

The successful candidate will have 3 5 years chemo/oncology experience, CA RN license, BLS, and ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification, with a national certification pursued within 3

Qualificações

• Bachelors degree in nursing or higher is required.
• 35 years chemo/oncology experience.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification.
• National certification must be obtained within 3 years and maintained to retain Clin III status.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients health status before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion sessions.
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment.
• Develop care plans and implement nursing interventions per plan.
• Administer chemotherapy support and educate patients and families.
• Provide emotional support and foster a compassionate environment.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and schedule follow-ups.
• Assist with managing side effects and complications.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives in the outpatient infusion clinic.
