Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. seeks an Infusion Registered Nurse to support providers in the Infusion Suite. You will greet patients, gather vitals, answer questions, and prepare patients for physician assessment and IV infusions.

The role requires an RN degree, recent IV experience, and a strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and accuracy in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet Infusion patients and sign them in per protocols.
• Address patient questions about medications during infusion.
• Answer incoming calls and inquiries.
• Chart and record infusion vitals, administration, IVs, and meds.
• Obtain vitals before, during, and after infusion.
• Draw labs when needed and administer injections or IVs.
• Maintain sterile environment and inventory of drugs/supplies.
• Keep Infusion suite clean and comply with privacy standards.

We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Infusion RN to join our Infusion Team at our team.

The Infusion Registered Nurse is the clinical assistant to the providers. The Infusion RN will work alongside the Infusion MA and providers in the Infusion suites to assist AARA’s Infusion patients. The role of an Infusion Registered Nurse within AARA is to work closely with the Infusion MA greeting patients, taking vitals and weight, answering patient questions, and preparing them to be seen by the Physician, APC, and Infusion RN for their IV infusion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet patients and sign in Infusion patients according to established protocols
• Assist Infusion patients to make sure they have the questions answered about the medication they are receiving.
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration/IV’s/medications
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient
• Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation
• Draw labs, if needed
• Administer injections or IV as requested
• Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV
• Maintain sterile environment at all times
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock
• Maintain schedules and que medication to make sure drug inventory is correct
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
• Respond and comply to requests for information
• Ensure Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat and clean
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Knowledge, Skill, Training and Experience to do the Job

• An RN degree from an accredited school
• IV experience in the last 2 years
• RN experience in the last 2 years
• A high-level dedication to excellent patient care, office teamwork, detail and accuracy are required
• Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
• Rheumatology or Oncology experience a plus
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
