Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse to join the Infusion Team. The RN acts as the clinical assistant to the providers, greeting patients, taking vitals and preparing them for IV infusions in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Greet Infusion patients and sign in according to protocols.
• Assist patients with questions about their medications.
• Answer calls and handle inquiries.
• Schedule or reschedule infusion appointments.
• Chart and record infusion vitals and medications.
• Obtain vitals before, during, and after infusion.
• Draw labs if needed and administer injections or IVs.
• Maintain sterile environment and stock inventories.
• Protect patient privacy and comply with information requests.
• Support management with other duties as assigned.

The practice has over 60 providers, 15 sites and over 300 employees providing assessment and treatments for rheumatological, podiatric, and electromyography patients. We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Infusion RN to join our Infusion Team at our team. The Infusion Registered Nurse is the clinical assistant to the providers. The Infusion RN will work alongside the Infusion MA and providers in the Infusion suites to assist AARA's Infusion patients. The role of an Infusion Registered Nurse within AARA is to work closely with the Infusion MA greeting patients, taking vitals and weight, answering patient questions, and preparing them to be seen by the Physician, APC, and Infusion RN for their IV infusion.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and sign in Infusion patients according to established protocols
• Assist Infusion patients to make sure they have the questions answered about the medication they are receiving.
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
• Schedule / Reschedule Infusion patient appointments, if necessary
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration/IV's/medications
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient
• Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation
• Draw labs, if needed
• Administer injections or IV as requested
• Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV
• Maintain sterile environment at all times
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock
• Maintain schedules and que medication to make sure drug inventory is correct
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
• Respond and comply to requests for information
• Ensure Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat and clean
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Knowledge, Skill, Training and Experience to do the Job

Essential

• An RN degree from an accredited school
• IV experience in the last 2 years
• RN experience in the last 2 years
• A high-level dedication to excellent patient care, office teamwork, detail and accuracy are required
• Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
• Rheumatology or Oncology experience a plus
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
