Job summary

Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is seeking a dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Team. The RN serves as a clinical assistant to providers, greeting patients, taking vitals, answering questions, and preparing them for IV infusions.

The role involves collaborating with Infusion MA and providers, maintaining sterile conditions, managing vitals, and supporting patient privacy in a fast-paced rheumatology setting.

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited school.
• IV experience in the last 2 years.
• RN experience in the last 2 years.
• Strong communication, detail and accuracy are required.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.
• Rheumatology or Oncology experience a plus.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and sign in infusion patients per established protocols.
• Assist infusion patients to make sure they have the questions answered about the medication they are receiving.
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries.
• Schedule / Reschedule Infusion patient appointments, if necessary.
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration/IV’s/medications.
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient.
• Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation.
• Draw labs, if needed.
• Administer injections or IV as requested.
• Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV.
• Maintain sterile environment at all times.
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock.
• Maintain schedules and queue medication to make sure drug inventory is correct.
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals.
• Respond and comply to requests for information.
• Ensure Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat and clean.
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Infusion RN to join our Infusion Team at our team.

The Infusion Registered Nurse is the clinical assistant to the providers. The Infusion RN will work alongside the Infusion MA and providers in the Infusion suites to assist AARA’s Infusion patients. The role of an Infusion Registered Nurse within AARA is to work closely with the Infusion MA greeting patients, taking vitals and weight, answering patient questions, and preparing them to be seen by the Physician, APC, and Infusion RN for their IV infusion.

Essential

• Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
