Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. seeks an Infusion Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Team in Dallas.

The RN serves as clinical assistant to providers, greeting patients, taking vitals, preparing patients for infusion, and supporting IV therapies. The role partners with the Infusion MA and clinicians to ensure safe, efficient infusions, maintains sterile technique, manages inventory, and upholds patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• An RN degree from an accredited school is required.
• IV experience within the last 2 years is essential.
• RN experience within the last 2 years is essential.
• Strong communication, computer skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet Infusion patients and sign in per protocol.
• Assist patients with questions about medications during infusion.
• Schedule or reschedule infusion appointments as needed.
• Chart vitals and administration details for IV infusions.
• Maintain sterile environment and inventory of drugs and supplies.

We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Infusion RN to join our Infusion Team at our team.

The Infusion Registered Nurse is the clinical assistant to the providers. The Infusion RN will work alongside the Infusion MA and providers in the Infusion suites to assist AARA’s Infusion patients. The role of an Infusion Registered Nurse within AARA is to work closely with the Infusion MA greeting patients, taking vitals and weight, answering patient questions, and preparing them to be seen by the Physician, APC, and Infusion RN for their IV infusion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet patients and sign in Infusion patients according to established protocols
• Assist Infusion patients to make sure they have the questions answered about the medication they are receiving.
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
• Schedule / Reschedule Infusion patient appointments, if necessary
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration/IV’s/medications
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient
• Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation
• Draw labs, if needed
• Administer injections or IV as requested
• Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV
• Maintain sterile environment at all times
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock
• Maintain schedules and que medication to make sure drug inventory is correct
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
• Respond and comply to requests for information
• Ensure Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat and clean
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Knowledge, Skill, Training and Experience to do the Job

Essential

• An RN degree from an accredited school
• IV experience in the last 2 years
• RN experience in the last 2 years
• A high-level dedication to excellent patient care, office teamwork, detail and accuracy are required
• Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
• Rheumatology or Oncology experience a plus
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
