Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks an experienced Registered Nurse leader to deliver patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Standards of Practice. The role delegates and directs licensed and ancillary staff and maintains accountability for quality outcomes.

You will work with a diverse patient population, support unit and department goals, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• BSN preferred; hospital nursing experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for diverse patients.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources.
• Uses data to evaluate and promote change for better patient outcomes.
