Job summary

Ochsner is seeking an RN leader to provide patient care using the nursing process within the framework of state practice acts. This role supervises licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality outcomes and alignment with unit goals.

The position emphasizes teaching, delegation, data-driven improvement, and compliance with privacy and professional standards. A current RN license and BLS are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Proficient in using computers, software and web-based applications.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills in a diverse patient care setting.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and teaches patients, families and groups.
• Delegates and manages nursing team resources and serves as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote care improvements.
