Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking an Infusion Nurse II to coordinate and provide intermediate direct patient care in the home or an alternate infusion setting. The nurse works under a supervisor to ensure patient safety and adherence to a physician plan of care.

The role involves initiating treatments, educating patients and families, performing medications, and documenting care in real time. Travel up to 10% may be required, with responsibilities including supervision of staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Basic knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and implements nursing plan of care treatments.
• Educates patients and families/caregivers.
• Documents care in real-time for billing and continuity of care.
• Coordinates discharge planning and summaries.
• Assists and mentors Infusion Nurse I’s as needed.
• Provides supervision in the absence of the Supervisor or Nurse Manager.
