MUSC Health's Hollings Clinics seeks an Infusion Nurse to deliver individualized, goal-directed care for patients needing IV therapy. Under general supervision, you will apply nursing processes to ensure safe treatment and collaborate with the health care team to achieve outcomes.

You will administer IV therapies, select venipuncture sites, and document patient responses. A BSN is preferred; at least one year of RN experience and current SC nursing licensure are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years.
• A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsabilidades

• Provides professional nursing care to patients requiring intravenous treatment.
• Administers intravenous therapies as directed by a physician.
• Determines venipuncture and catheter site as appropriate.
• Documents observations in patient medical records and informs patients/families about intravenous treatment procedures.
