Job summary

AOM Infusion is seeking an Infusion Nurse for the Houston, TX area. This full-time role involves managing a caseload of infusion patients, coordinating with in-house RN staff, and delivering high-quality patient education and care.

The Infusion Nurse will assess patients, administer therapies, and ensure adherence to nursing practice acts. The position requires flexible scheduling and on-call responsibilities, with a robust benefits package offered by AOM Infusion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed and registered as a registered nurse in the States where practicing.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as a registered nurse preferably in a home infusion setting.
• At least one year of experience as a pediatric nurse preferably in a home infusion setting.
• Knowledge and experience managing infusion access devices (peripheral lines, PICC lines, CVADs) including ports.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Perform physical assessments and report problems to physician and in-house RN staff.
• Collaborate on patient care plan with in-house RN staff.
• Identify and report changes requiring plan modification.
• Provide patient and family education about health care needs and therapies.
• Manage infusion access devices and related supply needs.
• Demonstrate competence in treatments per plan of care.
• Document care and communicate with RN staff as required.
• Maintain infection control practices and patient confidentiality.
