Job summary

Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is seeking an ambitious Infusion Registered Nurse to join the Infusion Team in Prescott.

The RN provides clinical support to providers, greets patients, helps with vitals, and prepares patients for IV infusions alongside the Infusion MA and clinicians. The role emphasizes maintaining a sterile environment, handling IV medications, charting, and answering patient questions while delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a busy rheumatology

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited school.
• IV experience within the last 2 years.
• RN experience within the last 2 years.
• Strong communication, computer skills, flexible and dependable, multitask in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and sign in infusion patients per protocol.
• Assist infusion patients with questions about medications.
• Answer calls and handle inquiries.
• Schedule or reschedule infusion appointments as needed.
• Assist with charting and recording vitals, administration, IVs, medications.
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient.
• Obtain vitals before, during, and after infusion.
• Draw labs if needed.
• Administer injections or IV as requested.
• Assist with removal of IV lines.
• Maintain sterile environment at all times.
• Maintain drug inventory and stock.
• Maintain schedules and ensure medication inventory accuracy.
• Obtain external medical reports as required by professionals.
• Respond to information requests and keep area neat and compliant.
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.

We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Infusion RN to join our Infusion Team at our team.

The Infusion Registered Nurse is the clinical assistant to the providers. The Infusion RN will work alongside the Infusion MA and providers in the Infusion suites to assist AARA’s Infusion patients. The role of an Infusion Registered Nurse within AARA is to work closely with the Infusion MA greeting patients, taking vitals and weight, answering patient questions, and preparing them to be seen by the Physician, APC, and Infusion RN for their IV infusion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet patients and sign in Infusion patients according to established protocols
• Assist Infusion patients to make sure they have the questions answered about the medication they are receiving.
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
• Schedule / Reschedule Infusion patient appointments, if necessary
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration/IV’s/medications
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient
• Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation
• Draw labs, if needed
• Administer injections or IV as requested
• Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV
• Maintain sterile environment at all times
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock
• Maintain schedules and que medication to make sure drug inventory is correct
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
• Respond and comply to requests for information
• Ensure Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat and clean
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Essential

• An RN degree from an accredited school
• IV experience in the last 2 years
• RN experience in the last 2 years
• A high-level dedication to excellent patient care, office teamwork, detail and accuracy are required
• Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
• Rheumatology or Oncology experience a plus
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
