Job summary

Arcare is seeking a skilled Infusion Nurse to provide direct patient care, administer medications and infusion therapies, and monitor patient conditions in a dynamic clinical setting. You’ll collaborate with the Nurse Manager and clinical team to assess needs, plan care, and educate patients about health maintenance and community resources.

The ideal candidate will have LPN/RN licensure with infusion certification for LPNs, CPR certification, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; infusion certification required for LPNs

• At least one year of experience preferred
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and electronic record-keeping systems
• Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technologies

Responsibilities

• Monitor and chart patient conditions, noting changes and adverse reactions
• Administer prescribed medications and IV fluids, recording details accurately
• Measure and document vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, respiration)
• Collect patient samples, including blood, as needed for testing
• Educate patients on health maintenance and available community resources
• Coordinate smooth transitions of care across settings
• Use health information systems to manage and improve patient care
• Incorporate quality indicators and patient-specific variables into care plans
• Discharge patients following completion of therapies
• Participate in team meetings and training to stay current on best practices and compliance
