Job summary

Medix Infusion is seeking an experienced Registered Float Nurse to join our North Austin, TX team, supporting Round Rock, TX and Cedar Park, TX. As a Registered Nurse, you will advocate for and support patients, coordinating the infusion therapy process with Intake, Scheduling, Pharmacy, and Clinical teams to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 1–3 years of hands-on clinical experience.
• IV therapy or infusion experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients, addressing concerns and collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance the patient experience.
• Ensure timely and effective communication between departments and healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Research and obtain additional data, consulting with referring offices, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Managers, and Medical Directors when necessary.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure safety and effectiveness of infusion therapy.
• Serve as a resource to non-clinical staff within Patient Services.
• Complete work in a timely manner to prevent delays in patient care.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services.
• Assist with orientation and training of staff.
• Demonstrate courteous, compassionate, and professional behavior at all times.
• Perform all other assigned duties.
