Job summary

Northwestern Medicine’s Glenview Infusion Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for casual, as-needed coverage to support vacation and sick leave. The role is on-site with 8-hour shifts and requires assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for assigned patients.

The RN will collaborate with the care team, document the nursing process, monitor patient progress and ensure adherence to policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse or eligible in Illinois.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs patient care provided by support personnel for a specific shift.
• Communicates patient status to multidisciplinary team members.
• Documents the nursing process.
• Performs ongoing assessment of assigned patients and family needs.
• Contributes to plan of care with the patient care coordinator.
• Monitors and documents the patient’s response to therapies.
• Demonstrates cost effective approach to patient care.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.

Education

Registered Nurse license in Illinois (or eligible)

Graduate of accredited nursing program

BLS CPR certification (American Heart Association)
