Job summary

Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an RN for PRN Infusion Center duties. The RN will deliver high-quality patient-centered care, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the care team to meet standards of practice and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessment on admission and shifts, medication administration, timely documentation, and educating patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or related field.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic response, document care in medical record.
• Provide timely, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up.
