Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice (Required).
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (Required).
• 1 year RN experience or 2 years LPN in an acute care setting (Required).
• Knowledge of pharmacology, labs and telemetry (KSAs).

Responsibilities

• Receives patients, explains procedures, checks vital signs, and administers therapy.
• Monitors reactions and reports to physicians.
• Handles emergency situations.
• Provides infusion treatments such as hydration, blood, and blood components.
• Organizes, plans, supervises, and provides coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned departmental staff nurses and technicians.
• Promotes the adoption of nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines to support evidence-based practice.
• Manages conflict on assigned shifts and collaborates with other supervisors and unit leadership.
• Collaborates with patient quality, safety, and experience leadership and promotes patient quality, safety, and experience processes.
