Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Infusion Care Coordinator for a remote, 6-month assignment with potential extension or conversion. Work hours are Mon-Fri 8am-6pm CST with OT by approval.

You will support patients on specialty medications, coordinate deliveries, and maintain clear communication with patients and pharmacists. Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Technician License, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 3 years of retail, hospital, or mail-order pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the treatment process from initiation to conclusion of therapy.
• Under pharmacist supervision perform prescription data entry functions.
• Coordinate home nursing services for patients.
• Maintain all related pharmacy records (logs, care plans, profiles).
• Obtain verbal authorizations and request clinical information from prescribers.
• Track coverage determination requests; determine need for pharmacist review.
• Respond to inquiries regarding authorizations and PBM applications.
• Answer inbound patient calls and assist with delivery needs; de-escalate as needed.
• Document patient interactions and coordinate with pharmacists and teams.

Responsibilities

"To provide exceptional customer service and support to patients receiving specialty medications. This role focuses on coordinating and scheduling medication deliveries, communicating with patients regarding their prescriptions, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the medication fulfillment process

• Coordinate the treatment process from initiation to the conclusion or discontinuation of therapy
• Under direct supervision of a pharmacist performs prescription data entry functions
• Coordinates home nursing services
• Assists and maintains all related pharmacy records (prescription logs, care plans, medication profiles, and any other related files) as determined by the pharmacist
• Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers
• Track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required
• Approve coverage determination requests based on defined criteria
• Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM on-line applications

Answer inbound patient calls and assist with questions, concerns, and delivery needs. De-escalate upset or frustrated patients. Coordinated delivery dates and times to ensure patients receive their medications. Document all patient interactions. Communicate with pharmacists, co-workers, and other departments to resolve delivery or mediation related issues. Participate in team communication and assist coworkers
