Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Developer with Infrastructure Tool Kit (ITK) experience to build and maintain systems code for the USPS. This fully remote role requires a Public Trust clearance and familiarity with Agile, SDLC, and ALM processes.

You will work across DevSecOps practices with Docker/Jenkins/GitLab, and support data security while collaborating with USPS stakeholders. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project planning to determine programming and hardware needs; prepare specifications and documentation.
• Design, code, test, and debug programs using ITK tools.
• Adhere to USPS development standards and data security practices; monitor risks.
• Coordinate with team leader, customers, contractors, and vendors to track progress.
• Maintain and update programs and system documentation.
• Perform other job-related tasks as needed.

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Developer with Infrastructure Tool Kit (JTK) experience to develop and maintain systems code for the United States Postal Service (USPS). This position will be will be fully remote within the United States. The ideal candidate should possess a Public Trust clearance, knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies, SDLC practices, Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc), and Applacation Lifecycle Management (ALM).

Responsibilities

List of tasks to be performed:

• Participate in the project planning process that determines programming and hardware needs. Assist or lead in preparing programming specifications and in developing coding logic. Prepare charts, diagrams, and other documentation as needed.
• Design, code, test, and debug computer programs, independently or as part of a team, using computer languages identified and available in the Infrastructure Tool Kit (ITK).
• Adhere to consistent utilization of USPS development standards, procedures and processes. Ensure systems compatibility. Follow data security procedures and identify potential data security risks.
• Maintain contact, as designated, with the team leader, customers, contractors, and equipment vendors to monitor progress and coordinate varied project stages.
• Maintain computer programs and systems. Revise and update computer programs, procedures, and systems; including rewrites to the systems documentation and instructions, as necessary.
• Performs other job-related tasks as assigned or required to support the duties outlined above.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
