Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber cabling systems. The role requires leadership of field crews, mentoring junior technicians, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, reads blueprints, and holds a BICSI Technician Certification or equivalent credentials. NEC/TIA standards familiarity is essential, with OSHA10 and First Aid/CPR within 90 days.

USA Right to Hire On-Site Flexibility/Remote:

• 5+ years installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling systems
• Previous experience leading teams, mentors junior techs, and ensures safe, quality focused execution
• Proven ability to install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber systems
• Experience with major manufacturers (Panduit, CommScope, Corning, Leviton, etc.) preferred
• Understanding of NEC, ANSI, TIA, EIA, and BICSI standards
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• BICSI Technician Certification highly desired
• OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
• Required Tools - Snips, basic hand tools, steel/composite toe boots, VFL (preferred), cordless drill/impact, pliers, testers, punch tools, tape measure, level, flashlight/headlamp, and more.
