Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a seasoned low voltage technician in the United States to install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber cabling. You will lead a team of technicians, mentor juniors, and ensure safe, quality-focused execution on site.

The role requires proficiency with NEC/ANSI/TIA/EIA/BICSI standards, blueprint literacy, a valid driver's license, and certifications such as BICSI and OSHA10 (preferred). First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of low voltage cabling installation and maintenance.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior technicians.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, TIA, EIA, and BICSI standards.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• OSHA10 preferred; must obtain within 90 days.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.

• Previous experience leading teams, mentors junior techs, and ensures safe, quality focused execution
• Proven ability to install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber systems
• Experience with major manufacturers (Panduit, CommScope, Corning, Leviton, etc.) preferred
• Understanding of NEC, ANSI, TIA, EIA, and BICSI standards
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• BICSI Technician Certification highly desired
• OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
• Required Tools - Snips, basic hand tools, steel/composite toe boots, VFL (preferred), cordless drill/impact, pliers, testers, punch tools, tape measure, level, flashlight/headlamp, and more.
