Job summary

PlanIT Group in New Albany, OH is seeking an experienced low voltage cabling technician with strong leadership skills to install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber cabling. The role requires working on-site with some flexibility for remote arrangements, following NEC/TIA/EIA and BICSI standards while mentoring junior techs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in the field, a valid driver’s license, and is prepared to obtain OSHA10 and First Aid/CPR within 90 days.

New Albany, OH On-Site Flexibility/Remote:

• 5+ years installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling systems
• Previous experience leading teams, mentors junior techs, and ensures safe, quality focused execution
• Proven ability to install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber systems
• Experience with major manufacturers (Panduit, CommScope, Corning, Leviton, etc.) preferred
• Understanding of NEC, ANSI, TIA, EIA, and BICSI standards
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• BICSI Technician Certification highly desired
• OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
• Required Tools - Snips, basic hand tools, steel/composite toe boots, VFL (preferred), cordless drill/impact, pliers, testers, punch tools, tape measure, level, flashlight/headlamp, and more.
