Belcan LLC is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for enterprise infrastructure, including Networking, Citrix, Client Computing, and Server Administration across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Responsibilities

  • Systems & Server Administration: Build, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Configure switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, and load balancers.
  • Citrix Administration: Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments and related components.
  • Windows Server Administration: Install and maintain Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, and File Services.
  • Monitoring & ITSM: Support monitoring tools and ITIL-based processes.

Job Summary:

The Infrastructure Support Engineer will be responsible for providing end-to-end support for enterprise infrastructure environments, including Networking, Citrix Virtualization, Client Computing, and Server Administration across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, operational support expertise, and the ability to maintain high availability of critical business services.

The ideal candidate should possess a broad infrastructure background with hands‑on experience managing enterprise systems, virtual desktop environments, servers, networking technologies, and endpoint platforms.

Job Duties:

  • 1. Systems & Server Administration
  • Build, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM).
  • Ensure operating systems and platform software are patched and maintained.
  • 2. Network Infrastructure Management
  • Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, VPN concentrators, and load balancers.
  • Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to outages and degradation.
  • Administrate cloud resources in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Implement cloud networking, compute, storage, identity, and monitoring services.
  • Support hybrid architectures integrating on‑prem and cloud systems.
  • 4. Storage & Backup Administration
  • Manage SAN/NAS storage arrays and file systems.
  • Oversee backup/restore operations and disaster‑recovery workflows.
  • Support replication, snapshots, and data retention policies.
  • 5. Automation & Scripting
  • Create automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Automate server builds, configuration management, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Support infrastructure‑as‑code workflows (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • 6. Monitoring & Performance Optimization
  • Implement and maintain systems monitoring (Splunk, SolarWinds, Prometheus, ELK, etc.).
  • Analyze logs, alerts, and metrics to detect performance issues.
  • Tune systems, network, and application performance.
  • 7. Security & Compliance
  • Manage access controls, certificates, MFA, and security configurations.
  • Apply hardening standards (CIS, NIST) across infrastructure.
  • Monitor for vulnerability findings and coordinate remediation.
  • Support audit activities and infrastructure compliance documentation.
  • Maintain virtual server environments and clusters.
  • Support container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) where applicable.
  • Optimize resource allocation for compute, memory, and storage.
  • 9. Incident & Problem Management
  • Respond to infrastructure incidents and outages.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
  • Create and maintain incident runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • 10. Infrastructure Planning & Lifecycle Management
  • Perform capacity planning for compute, storage, and network.
  • Support hardware lifecycle: procurement, installation, retirement.
  • Contribute to architecture design for new systems and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Administration & Support
  • Support and maintain LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN, and SD‑WAN environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, latency, and routing issues.
  • Coordinate with telecom providers and vendors for WAN circuit management.
  • Support DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing Protocols, and Network Security.
  • Citrix Administration
  • Administer and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Manage Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway, and Director.
  • Provision and maintain VDI, published applications, and remote access solutions.
  • Troubleshoot user sessions, profile issues, printing, and application performance.
  • Perform Citrix upgrades, patching, and environment health checks.
  • Monitor infrastructure utilization and optimize end‑user experience.
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and File Services.
  • Manage server patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and security hardening.
  • Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot server, application, and authentication‑related issues.
  • Administer Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, and other Linux platforms.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, storage, and system security.
  • Perform server provisioning, upgrades, patching, and performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot operating system, application, and infrastructure issues.
  • Support automation and scripting using Shell, Bash, or Python.
  • Support Apple macOS devices in enterprise environments.
  • Manage device enrollment and compliance using MDM platforms such as Jamf or Intune.
  • Troubleshoot operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
  • Support software deployment, patching, and endpoint security compliance.

  • Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management activities.
  • Participate in major incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
  • Work within SLA‑driven operational environments.
  • Support on‑call and after‑hours maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 5-8 years of enterprise infrastructure support experience.
  • Strong experience across networking, Citrix, server administration, and endpoint support.
  • Experience supporting global enterprise environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $95,000-$105,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
