Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart is seeking an Infrastructure Supervisor to lead a skilled IT team, drive infrastructure improvements, and secure systems across the organization. You will guide operational planning, resource allocation, and strategic technology initiatives to support customers and colleagues nationwide.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and building partnerships, with on-site requirements and travel between NFM locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
  • 6+ years’ experience including systems and network engineering.
  • 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, Cloud Technologies (private/public), Security Applications and Networking.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-tier architectures: load balancers, proxies, caching, web servers, application servers and databases.
  • Understanding of automation, modern dev services for source control and configuration management in technology infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and law.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, team mentoring and leadership.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel between NFM locations as business needs require.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the USA on a full-time basis. NFM will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Mentor, coach, and support team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Pay Range: $86,260 - 138,906 annually (depending on experience and location)

As NFM's Infrastructure Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping the technology that powers our business running smoothly and securely. You'll lead a talented team of IT professionals while shaping the future of our infrastructure environment, driving technology improvements, and delivering solutions that support our customers and coworkers across the organization. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring others, building strong partnerships, and finding innovative ways to leverage technology for business success. This role is best suited for someone who values teamwork, communicates respectfully, and builds trust across the organization. This position requires the candidate to reside in NE, IA, KS, MO, or TX. Final candidates will be required to come on-site prior to receiving an offer or on their first day of employment.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life
