Job summary

Wissen Technology, a high-end technical consulting firm, seeks an Infrastructure Solution Architect in the United States for hybrid cloud and on‑premises infrastructure modernization. You will partner with security, risk, and business technology teams to translate business needs into scalable architectures for advisor platforms and client portals.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in infrastructure engineering or architecture with 5+ years as a solution architect.
• Experience in financial services, wealth management, brokerage, or banking.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of at least one major public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), including landing zones, networking, IAM, and security services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, SD‑WAN, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute).
• Experience with virtualization and on-premises platforms (VMware, Windows/Linux servers, SAN/NAS).
• Proven track record designing for high availability, DR, and business continuity.
• IAM and security tooling experience with IaC (Terraform/CFN/ ARM/Bicep) and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with identity and access management (Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, PAM).
• Understanding regulatory and compliance requirements for financial services infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, network, and cloud platforms.

• Produce architecture artifacts and present to architecture review boards.
• Ensure high availability, DR, performance, and resiliency targets.

• Engage senior stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with business priorities.

Job description

We are seeking an Infrastructure Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions for a large wealth management firm. You will partner with application, security, and business technology teams to translate business needs into infrastructure architectures across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, supporting advisor platforms, client portals, trading, and data services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, network, and cloud platforms for new initiatives and modernization programs.
• Define target-state architectures and roadmaps for migration from legacy data center environments to hybrid and public cloud.
• Produce architecture artifacts including solution designs, HLD/LLD documents, and architecture decision records, and present them to architecture review boards.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, and resiliency, including RTO/RPO targets.
• Embed security and regulatory controls (SEC, FINRA, SOX, data privacy) into infrastructure designs in partnership with Information Security and Risk.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, vendors, and platforms, including cost modeling and TCO analysis.
• Guide engineering and operations teams through implementation and handoff to production.
• Establish standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns for infrastructure provisioning.
• Engage senior stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with business priorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in infrastructure engineering or architecture, with 5+ years in a solution architect role.
• Experience in financial services, ideally wealth management, brokerage, or banking.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including landing zones, networking, IAM, and security services.

NICE TO HAVE

• Professional-level cloud certification (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS/AKS, OpenShift).
• Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecture experience at enterprise scale.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring platforms (Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Exposure to zero trust architecture and cloud security posture management tools.
• Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization.
• Familiarity with wealth management platforms and ecosystems (custodians, portfolio management systems, CRM such as Salesforce Financial Services Cloud).
• Experience supporting AI/ML or data platform infrastructure (Snowflake, Databricks, GPU workloads).
• TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certification.
• Experience with large-scale data center exit or consolidation programs.
