Job summary

Stripe, LLC is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain APIs, backend services, and distributed systems using Ruby, Java, Go and Scala. You will build infrastructure to support large-scale production systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of software development experience, with 50% telecommuting permitted and multiple positions available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2 years of software development experience.
• 2+ years developing software applications, backend or full-stack for large-scale systems, and API/distributed systems in production.
• Experience writing unit tests and performing manual testing; familiar with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and fault-tolerant design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support APIs, backend services, and distributed systems using Ruby, Java, Go and Scala.
• Build, test, deploy, and maintain software infrastructure for large-scale production systems.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across multiple services and layers of the technology stack.
