Job summary

Notion is seeking an IC4 Infrastructure Security Engineer to own end-to-end security problems across Notion’s stacks. You will drive secure-by-default designs, ship pragmatic controls, and scale security across engineering teams, with base in San Francisco or New York City.

You will lead initiatives to enhance AWS security, secrets management, and IAM, while guiding cross-functional partners on privacy best practices and incident response.

Qualifications

• Security architecture and IAM/secrets management expertise.
• Production-grade code delivery for secure systems.
• Ability to debug in production with minimal disruption.
• Threat modeling and risk-based prioritization.
• Clear written and verbal communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Proactively enhance the security posture of Notion's cloud infrastructure.
• Create secure frameworks for secrets management and authentication/authorization.
• Design and deploy Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Provide guidance on security and privacy best practices to cross-functional partners.
• Participate in mitigation strategies during security incidents.
