Job summary

Notion is recruiting for an IC4 Infrastructure Security Engineer in the United States (SF/NYC). The role focuses on secure-by-default infrastructure across Notion’s tech stacks, from risk identification to configurable, scalable security controls.

You will own end-to-end security problems in production and collaborate with engineering on secure defaults. Based in San Francisco or New York City, you’ll join the team that champions secure design practices, with anchor days in-office and strong

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining secure cloud architectures (e.g., IAM, secrets management).
• Production-grade code experience and ability to contribute to system design.
• Ability to debug and diagnose issues in production with minimal disruption.
• Knowledge of risk-based prioritization and threat modeling practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Enhance security posture of AWS accounts and cloud infrastructure.
• Create secure frameworks for secrets management and authentication/authorization.
• Design and deploy Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Provide guidance on security and privacy best practices to partners.
• Lead or contribute to mitigation strategies during security incidents.
